Thanks!! I was in Canada while I submit the application. I went back to Hong Kong few months ago as I didnt expect the application would be done in less than 10 months. I will keep you guys posted!
Hi guys,
Just had it confirmed that my application is approved!! I still havent received anything from CIC but the status changed to DM on Nov 18 and yesterday My CIC shows the file is closed and approved. HKVO. Cant believe how fast the whole process was. Only asked for additional doc once and...
Hey guys,
Just received an email from CIC saying I need to do an RCMP criminal check. Does anyone have experience obtaining one from HK? What is the process of obtaining one and how long does it usually take?
Thanks
I got the same request too. for the photo, on my letter it says "if not yet submitted: two recent photos respecting....." so I guess I am not sending additional photo ( I sent 5 with my app). they also asked for police certs from each country you have spent 6 months or more. I did not send any...
Hi guys,
just received an e-mail from CIC requesting for more docs. they asked for a whole bunch of stuff, including police certificates, which i found it weird, because i thought they would ask for police cert at a later stage...
But then what if it's applicant eligibility? To make it clear I feel like I will be refused because there was a six week gap during our one year cohabitation. In this case would they even bother to call for an interview, if the officer is not satisfied with our break?
Does anybody know if an officer decides to refuse your app(because of applicant eligibility or relationship not being genuine), would they even bother to ask for police clearance and/or redo medical exam? Or would they send refusal letter right away? I feel like have a good chance to get refused...
I didn't even explain the 6 weeks gap on my application. Some people say it really depends on your officer, so I'm just hoping to get a nice officer and he will approve my app.
Does anyone have any experience in having a big cohabitation gap (more than 2-3 weeks) for a common law sponsorship? I have a 6 weeks gap because of work and I am so worry that officers will reject my app because of the break of cohabitation. Please share your experience
U got the right number, just wrong timing i guess...I am sure you would have gotten the same answer from the CIC agent even if your call went through. we received AOR 1 on the same day..so lets keep praying for our SA coming in the new few days.
just called CIC to check on my status, I applied on April 08 (I know it just passed the 37 processing time, but I just wanted to call anyways). The lady who spoke with me was very polite and helpful, but she told me the decision hadnt been made yet. She said if I dont hear anything by mid June...
Um...I didn't explain much because I never thought it would be an issue until I saw some posts on this forum. On my background declaration personal history part I did mention I wasn't outside of Canada for work during that period. I also sent our chat history and call history to show that our...
I have the same problem too, I was away for 6weeks because of work,i have sent my app along with texts record and call history to show that our relationship is continuous. hopefully it is OK.
I applied for common law sponsorship outland, and have received AOR1, does that mean that the officers think it is ok even though my partner and I were apart for a month and a half (because of work) within the 12 month cohabitation?
I agree...it happened to me once. I was refused to board on the plane at the check in counter when I only had a one way ticket to Toronto. I was asked for a return ticket otherwise they wouldnt issue me a boarding pass, so what I did was to purchase a ticket flying from toronto to new york right...
