I recently had to update my common law situation and also inform CIC that my canadian gf and I just had a baby daughter. They requested a lot of info from me as expected but they emailed me yesterday saying they now have enough info to update my file!

I have already sent them the common law papers, I will have to wait 6-8 weeks for my daughter's birth certificate so I will send that on to them as soon as I get that!
