Were you married when your husband submitted PR application? If yes, did he declared to CIC that he is married at that time?

I also received the same email and I haven't taken any action because I already have paid RPRF fee and submitted police clearance as well.

In my case "Your action is required" was gone after a day or so when I uploaded and transmitted all documents. Check if there is any unread message in your profile which may require attention.

My passport didn't have the last name either, I wrote "NOT APPLICABLE" in the first name field and also attached an affidavit to explain I did this because of the issue with my passport. My application processed without any issues.

I think it's normal because my wife's application was received by cic on 7th July and there was no communication until last week Aug 15th when I received AOR. I think you should wait little more.

You should be able to link after AOR. I linked my application soon after receiving AOR. Medical request which is received was online as well. Have you tried linking application online? Getting any error?

You will not see any update when medical request is sent to you. It will update later after medical examination results are received by CIC saying "medical results has been received".
