Hi, A friend married a Canadian in Australia. Is their marriage 'legal' in Canada or can he apply for a work permit by himself without having to declare he is married?

How many days did you have decision made? I'm assuming your visa exempt?

I was asked to email them mine. If they want it sent to their office, they will give you the instructions on their request

For the visa exempt people who just receive COPR in the mail, did you receive an email regarding the decision being made? Or was it just in your ECAS status?

That's crappy... I just really want this to be over and done with... but I know I'm not the only one waiting..

Hi.. Just wanted to see if anyone had any progress on their application. I had received the same email required and just scanned and emailed mine. Haven't heard anything since :(

So my email received was the very standard for the PCC.. However I scanned the original and didn't mail it to them. The call center was NOT helpful and she wouldn't tell me if they needed it. Has anyone who was requested their PCC, just scanned and emailed and had progress on their file?

Yes I applied online. I'm not sure if you can save and return, but I don't see why not. You can only do online if you have a scanner for your documents for the points required.

All I did (second time) was a National Police Check. Its a standard disclosure which took 2 days for them to process and arrived by mail in 10 days.

I had submitted by PCC with my original application. They would have expired but they also asked for a standard disclosure where I had sent them a complete disclosure.

I guess I'm the only one then... what a waste of time..
