Outside Canada, FSW PR approved, job offer in Montreal

Well that should be really easy, there is nothing tying me to Quebec (or any other province) that they would know about. I don't plan on disclosing the job offer...

Outside Canada, FSW PR approved, job offer in Montreal

My FSW PR was approved in April but I am still living in my native country (Mexico). I received a job offer from Montreal, Quebec. I asked my immigration lawyer about this, and she said that once I am a Permanent Resident, I can live and work anywhere in Canada. IF I decide to accept the job...

A complete way to nail 'Source of fund' dilemma!

I found a bank that is willing to do the bank letter like CIC wants but I would have to open a brand new account with them. Is this advisable? Obviously I won't have the 6 months average balance but they are the only ones I've found willing to write the letter

Bank won't provide me with the letter that CIC asks for...

I thought of that and I asked at a different bank and the manager told me he could put everything in the letter except the current balance which would have to be on a separate paper. Since the letter won't be exactly as CIC wants it anyways I don't know if its worth switching the money to the...

Bank won't provide me with the letter that CIC asks for...

I have an old USD account that was resting at zero dollars for years and even dipped a bit into the negatives (around minus $170) because of maintenance fees. Two months ago, my dad gifted me $10,000 USD which he deposited into this account. On Dec. 18th I received an ITA so I went to my bank...

Did you mean yes to just writing it in English or yes to having it transated and notarized?

A complete way to nail 'Source of fund' dilemma!

I have a question; where it says "name of donor" and "father's name," isn't this the same person? Also, what is s/o, r/o and w/o?

Am I criminally ineligible for Express Entry?

So I spoke with the lawyer today and at first I thought I was screwed because she said the 3 different charges count as three different offences and that I need to prove somehow that the cases were dropped. But she said she would consult with her colleague to make sure, She then sent me an email...

Express Entry and Entry to Quebec

I was living in Montreal recently and some guy I met in school was trying to do this. He even got a fake address in Ontario from a friend and everything. He was positive it would work because the PR is federal so Quebec would have to recognize it. Don't know how it worked out for him though

Am I criminally ineligible for Express Entry?

I did the FBI background check, it shows the charges mentioned in my original post. I have spoken to a USA immigration attorney and she said that these do not constitute a conviction. However, I never went to court so I have nothing to prove that I was not convicted either.

Am I criminally ineligible for Express Entry?

I tried to sneak from Mexico into the USA in early 2014 due to extraordinary circumstances and was detained by US border patrol, held overnight, and deported back to Mexico. A USA background check (FBI fingerprints) on myself shows the following charges: -CHARGE 1 ALIEN INADMISSIBILITY UNDER...

Previous Immigration-related arrest in the USA

I will declare it I just wondered if I can make a statement about it and still use the clean background check. Anyone know the repercussions of this arrest? I was already approved a work visa after the fact, so that makes me hopeful. The thing is that for that work permit, no background check...

Previous Immigration-related arrest in the USA

I did declare it on the work visa application and will do so again with the EE application. I just hoped that the clean background check would be sufficient since it is well...clean and IT WAS issued after I moved out of the USA

Previous Immigration-related arrest in the USA

Hello guys, this forum seems to be very knowledgeable and helpful so I thought I'd ask here. -I was arrested by USA border patrol in Jan. 2014 for sneaking into the USA illegally from my country of origin, Mexico. I was held overnight and deported to Mexico in the morning -Later, I applied for...
