Low lead time on oath ceremony is probably location dependent. Busy places like Vancouver, Toronto expect to wait 2 months.

I did this test a few times: http://www.citizenshipcounts.ca/quiz There are a lot of exact same questions on the test. Of course read over the book at least once. As for names, make sure to remember the key people: like governor general, prime minister, party leaders, etc. Outside of that I...

Depends on how many people there are. At mine there was at least 100 people. I finished the test way early and it took over an hour waiting around. A lot of time just spent sitting around waiting. I was told the number is called randomly (after you finished the test) but I got out early-ish so...

"Lost" your PR card? Lol. You can't be serious. Buy a fire proof and water-proof safe. Put all your important documents (passports, PR cards, birth cert) inside, people. Not really something you want to be casually "lose".

Flag poling counts as 0 day. You technically never left Canada as you would have received an administrative refusal from US guard denying entry.

You can order CBSA entry report (under Privacy Act) for free that will have record of all your entry. This is what I used to count days outside of Canada. Takes a week or two to arrive in the mail. Stamps aren't reliable as they will not stamp if another officer have already recently stamped...

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-citizenship/become-canadian-citizen/after-apply-next-steps.html It suggests you to inform them here. But you can ignore it if you have access to email since that's gonna be the primary form of communication anyways...

You're submitting a paper application. Only month and date is displayed, and that's what the officer will see. You can enter date if you wish but it's unnecessary.

What's the urgency of getting citizenship? You are not under heavy restriction similar to when you applied for PR (changing jobs, moving out of province, going on vacation, your permit expiring). It is a much more straight forward process. You can travel freely. With a Nexus, you clear customs...

My Story: Away for 35 years/Am I still a PR ? If not - What to do ?

You're not a PR and therefore cannot renew a status you don't have. The fact that you're in Canada and stays for 730 days does not make you eligible to renew anything. You're still a visitor that is overstaying. These lawyers are dumb or what?
