Got the passport request email today. However, I've already sent my passport for MRP which may take weeks to just get back the passport. Will have to call the embassy and ask for the passport return. ecas status still says "In Process". If only, I had waited few more days.

In Processing since Jan 27. I need to update my passport to MRP. They say that after May the validity of my passport will be less than 6 months and it's no longer usable for new visas since non-MRP passports are expiring in Nov. I was hoping I would get the PPR get the stamping and then change...

We received your application for permanent residence on April 15, 2014. We started processing your application on January 27, 2015. Medical results have been received. Still "In Process". Why don't they just reject instead of this waittt....

Do you indirectly mean that those who do have valid qualification and are working in Canada and want the PR earlier for whatever reason should go with the express entry now ? Because as it stands we may get PR via express entry in 6 months right ?

My application received in April 15. And I also have to send my passport for MRP which takes 12-16 weeks. I wonder if it is the right time to do that, or will I get a PPR before 12-16 weeks.

Do you guys think jumping from PNP to Express Entry would be a good choice at this point. May be Express Entry will be faster than this PNP ? What do you guys say ?

The document checklist says six (6) photos for each member of your family, whether accompanying or not, and yourself. I am single and am about to apply through AINP. Do I require the photos of my parents, brother, sister as I've listed them under additional family information ?

finally after 4 long months of waiting I got my visa yesterday :) . But i'm a bit confused I don't have any pic. on the visa. What do you guys have ? I have seen that one of my friend previous year had his pic. in the visa stamping. Did they change it this year ?

has anyone who has waited for 2-3 months or more ( mine was almost 4 months, around 75-80 working days) been rejected a visa ? Please reply if you know any such case.

Finally today the status changed to "in Transit". What do you guys think it is going to be : A visa or a rejection ?

I did medicals beforehand. But what's the difference, visa is not here. It seems to take longer.

Can anyone give me some information about cancelling the visa application ? How long will they take to send the passport back. It's been more than 3 months and taking ridiculously long for them to make a decision. If I miss the session for this fall, I may not get another chance of assistantship...

@jackpatel, congrats..you will be getting the passport soon. For me, it's still under processing. I've lost hope. :(

mental torture, i'm certain they are not going to change it today. it's going to be tomorrow :(
