Well, considering that I applied on April, 30. I hope it means that an officer has opened my file! :'(

Oh my friend you are in the same boat than I am. I applied on April, 30 and I am still waiting. That is totally insane! I am without insurance and can't visit my family. Actually, I can but I will lose my Implied status and at this moment I am working. Please keep us posted if you see any...

Chili did you contact them by email? I am in Calgary too. I am trying to find someone in SW since Kent Hehr is my MP and his office is not set up yet.

I am at this level now. I just sent a message for my MP and I am waiting... I am not sure when they will reply me back because they haven't set up their office yet. Well, Put the hands in the air and wait for a miracle! :(

Sorry to disappoint you but that can take forever! I got the same answer on September, 15 and I am still waiting for the CIC to end my case. :(

When did you apply? I decided to give them one more chance LOL and I called today again. I got a nice lady and she said that my file is being reviewed. The thing is my passport is about to expire that means my permit will arrive expired because the day of the permit is the day of our passport...

I don't call anymore for CIC call center it is a totally waste of time. :(

Same situation here! I applied April 30, and I received the email of my submission May, 1st and I don't receive any news yet. I made the payment of $100 at October, 08 by the website of CIC. It is a frustrating situation, after 2 years and 8 months in a Master's Degree of Engineering I am still...

My sad story: Submitted my application: May, 1st Blank email: July, 12 Blank email: Aug, 08 Pay $100 by CSE: Oct, 08 Waiting waiting waiting.... Someone in the same situation? I called CIC more than 4 times and they said that I have to wait. :(
