I understand that any country has every right to refuse entry to whoever they want, but on what grounds? can they just refuse entry to someone with no criminal records of any kind? if I am entering Canada as a tourist and I don't do anything illegal, like working without a permit, the only thing...

I guess what I meant is that once your 6 months end, you can either get an extension or leave and reapply. For me it's easy because I don't need to apply in the first place. Some countries don't require a tourist visa, so I just have to leave the country and come back again without doing any...

Why wouldn't you be allowed in Canada? And yes, you can also apply for an extension

As far as I know you can stay in Canada as a tourist for 6 months... Correct me if I am wrong but I think it is possible that when your 6 months expire you just leave the country for a few days (maybe a short visit to the US) and when you come back you can stay for 6 months again... but I'm not...

Haha! I have seen more than a few Octobers with PPR already... meanwhile I am extending my work permit until June because I foresee that I'll have to wait more than a few months more. But getting upset won't make it go faster

We can speculate and complain in the forums as much as we want but the truth is that if we're within the first 6 months there is nothing we can do about it. As far as I know, before the EE was implemented the application for PPR used to last much longer than 6 months, and also remember that...

The article that you linked says that it could delay "non-Syrian refugees", and even so they say they are trying to avoid it. We are not refugees, and I have also heard many times that the departments are different and that I shouldn't worry, so I don't think we should be concerned about it at all.

Yeah, of course it is... but it's not crazy to think that they are updating all the data, most of us have been waiting for months with no updates... which doesn't necessarily mean ppr for everybody. It could simply mean meds passed for some, bg check for others and some dms or pprs... or maybe...

Same here. October AOR, FSW, no ECAS access... the question is: can anyone see their ECAS? If the answer is yes maybe it's good news, if the answer is no it's definitely a technical issue

Good! I hope you are right. I've heard that Outland is faster than Inland :) Compared to my country, job opportunities are much better here for sure. I have met a couple of people who have left their job just because they were bored and found a new one very quickly... that is almost unthinkable...
