Hi all. I'm a refused refugee claimant and now my wife is sponsoring me. We recently received a letter from CIC requesting for a copy of my passport (which I do not have access to and I cannot apply for a new one from the embassy). Could I submit a travel document instead? Please help me. Thanks!

Hi everyone... I am a refused refugee claimant, and my wife is sponsoring me in Canada. But the issue is I cannot obtain a valid passport from the embassy. I know that CIC is requesting a passport/travel document, so would I be able to submit a copy of my travel document instead?
