    Well, now I'm confused! (TRV is temporary resident visa, right?). From what I've been able to read it sort of seems I don't need a visa like PPM says, but then again it says 'visitor' and I'm a student. Zardoz, are you from the UK? They should be visa exempt as well, right? What did you have to do?

    Dear all, I'm a Swedish student going to University of Waterloo for a PhD. I just submitted my study permit application online but I don't understand if I need a visa or not? Swedes don't need a visa for temporary visits/tourist purposes but do I need one if I'm supposed to be a student...
