Got COPR today, which was surprisingly sent from Canada. We're in the UK so expected for that to come from Canada House in London. Our timeline: app received 23 June 2014, AOR 8 Aug 2014, med req 13 Feb 2015, RRFP upfront May 2015, email asking for our postal address 19 Nov 2015, decision made...

Since you did your medicals in February, your wife won't have until April to land. The landing deadline is normally set a year since CIC received your medicals. You could of course try to ask for an extension. Anyhow, 4 months should be absolutely fine.

I guess it's going to come soon. We're just waiting for COPR.

I've asked this question a few times and it seems that it's exactly one year since CIC received your medical.

She should still be able to travel. Normally the cut off point is at 36 weeks. It would also make it easier for your newborn child as they would automatically become Canadian. I travelled when I was 31 weeks pregnant.

Thanks! Yes, all CEC applications are being processed in Ottawa. Good luck! It seems like they have started processing our applications.

So after the email yesterday asking for our address, and a call to the call centre where they said our file was still in process, we woke up this morning to the online status being changed to decision made. Our timeline: app received 23 June 2014, AOR 8 August 2014, med req 13 February 2015...

Fingers crossed, SVB! Managed to get through to the call centre, COPR hasn't be issued yet and the application is still in process. Apparently there are no notes that tell them why the email was sent. Let's hope someone replies to us soon.

Hi guys, I don't want to be too optimistic, but just got an email from Ottawa which starts like this: "Dear Applicant, Please confirm a valid postal address in Canada or the United States of America. Be advised that we do not mail passports or other valued information overseas. Please be...

Your police certificate is valid only for one year, just like your medical. You should be able to extend the deadline they've given you. I would probably ask for the extension as soon you can, explaining that the last certificate took longer than a month to get. Good luck!

I think you're safer emailing them to verify that the incorrect into in your COPR won't cause you any problems. You're the one that can lose out. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. That means you need to land by the time your medical expires. Hope you get all the info straightened soon.

Thanks for the info. Do you have a deadline in your COPR by which you need to land in Canada?

Were you specifically asked to send it to Canada House rather than the Canada Visa Application Centre in Wilson St? Did you email Ottawa to ask them to resend the COPR to your current address via the London office?

    June 2014 - CEC applications

You're probably best of speaking to the Call Centre, or the UK Visa office. My understanding is that the COPR is administered in Ottawa, but physically sent from the UK Visa Office. So probably the mistake would've been made in Ottawa. Can I ask what your landing deadline is? When did you do...

    June 2014 - CEC applications

If I had to choose, I'd rather have a tight deadline to land. Redoing medicals costs lots of money and also prolongs the wait. What frustrates me is that I was given 30 days to complete my medical. And now that might put me into a tricky situation. If they force me into redoing medicals, I'll...

Redoing medicals is one of our huge worries. It costs us $600 per person to do (if they prices haven't gone up since last February). And we need medicals done for two people. Additionally, if we've got a small window to land, we'll be paying a fortune for international flight. Sigh!
