It may take few weeks after expiry to get new FP request. Background verification won’t complete with expired fingerprints. Add 3-4 weeks for RCMP to send the report and your status update. Another 3-4 weeks for DM, than God knows how much time for the oath……

You should receive an email for new FP, may take a day or two.

FP are submitted directly to RCMP by the authorized center. How did you get it and submitted yourself to IRCC? Don’t think it works like this.

You will receive email from IRCC for new FP, it can take few weeks but you need this.

It took 5 months for my family for PR renewal

I have a similar situation. FP done back in Mar-20 and test completed in May-21, background verification still in process. My wife never received FP request and her background status is completed. I don’t understand why such delay to request FP again if this is what they require? I called IRCC...

I received test invite on 26th May, test done on 28th May, test status completed on 31st May. However, all other items including Background Verification still showing in progress. Is there anyone else with test completed and background verification not done?

The CIC agent who told me that cards were shipped on 6th May asked to call back after 6 weeks (from 6th May). I'm wondering what sort of shipping is that which may take up to 6 weeks!!
