I think you're only allowed 2 weeks per Canadian immigration law pero im not entirely sure as ive heard other people stay longer and had no problem. There's a little risk factor.

Are you the sponsor or sponsored? If youre the sponsored you dont need to update them, but if the sponsor resigned from work before SA, you may need to update :)

Oh wow.. Lam mo sa other forum meron July 2014 applicant. Kakaemail ko lang sa cem i asked about the same thing kasi almost 4 months na sa kanila passport ni husband and you're not the only one sis meron pang katulad mo din. Malapit na malapit na yan sis :)

You should get sponsorship approval soon, i received mine after 2 months. Then after another month i received passport request :)
