    June 2015 - Outland applications

CoPR was received last week. I suppose it's about time this thread came to a close, as I'm quite sure I'm the last one of the June batch.

*NEW* MANILA VISA OFFICE Philippines SPOUSE/FAMILY TIMELINE

CoPR received! Was very happy we had the option to send our PPR documents over to Ottawa instead of Manila. Manila VO has not been good to us, so it was very good to see that Ottawa (seemingly) sped things up.

Move to Canada while (outside) application is still processing?

No, it won't affect a thing, as many applicants (CIC is very aware of this) wait for their outland applications to process while they stay in Canada as visitors. My wife got her visitor visa extended at the beginning of the month and then, lo and behold, got her PPR in the e-mail on January...

Leaving Canada for a few days while waiting for PR card

Cheers again, Rob! My wife's latest medicals were done June of last year, with her passport expiring in July of 2018. I'm really hoping her CoPR is valid until June. But of course, I don't even want to get ahead of myself. We just got PPR not too long ago, and who knows how long the CoPR will...

Leaving Canada for a few days while waiting for PR card

Thanks Rob, I suppose another option would be to wait to do her landing until after we arrive back from the US in March? That would depend on how the long the CoPR would be valid for, though, correct? How long are CoPRs typically valid for? Thanks again!

Leaving Canada for a few days while waiting for PR card

Thank you for the replies. We will be taking a plane, so it seems like the only option is to apply for that PR travel document. Do any of you know how long they typically take to process?

Leaving Canada for a few days while waiting for PR card

Hi guys, My wife (who is currently residing with me in Canada as a visitor) and I plan on leaving Canada for a few days to go to the US in March. If, hypothetically, at that time, we are still waiting for her PR card to arrive, would we be able to leave and re-enter Canada with no problems...

JANUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

eCAS is notorious for changing things to "Decision Made" without updating any of the lines. But yes, you have already been approved as sponsor as indicated by, 1. the Decision Made status on your part of eCAS, and, 2. They have started processing your husband's application. If you were not...

*NEW* MANILA VISA OFFICE Philippines SPOUSE/FAMILY TIMELINE

I am sure there are still a batch of people from 2015 still waiting to hear from Manila VO. My spouse's application, for example, is finally in the process of being finalized. The application was received in June 2015, and it was only a couple of days ago that the application was changed to...

JANUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Congratulations. My spouse, too, received PPR + finalization documents last night through e-mail. Since she is with me in Canada as well, we will be sending all of the needed documents to Ottawa, just like yourself. I have the same question regarding how long it takes for the COPR to be sent...

    June 2015 - Outland applications

You're words are encouraging and reassuring. Sure enough, at around the same time I read your reply, the PPR + finalization e-mail came! It isn't over just yet, I know, but my spouse and I are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks! But hopefully it won't take any longer than it has to finalize everything and get COPR. Still anxious, to be honest with you, lol.

Wow, I don't know how to feel. I know I'm part of the June 2015 group, but have posted in this thread before...but, finally, my wife's status was changed to DM earlier! That has to be a good thing! Right? Lol.

JANUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I've emailed multiple times, only to have them reply to me saying that they are still working on the application. Med's expired in May, so we had to REDO them AGAIN in June. I have a feeling that the huge delay is because of that. There have been no other requests from CIC apart from the...
