How long does it take to receive correspondence after a DM? It's been almost 2 weeks!

Ha ha! Yes, maybe the same case worker :) Let's hope that he/she is kind to us and gives us DM very soon.

Finally, 12 months after submitting our application CIC have changed our status to 'in progress ' and have requested proof of the sponsor living in Canada. Can we send these documents by email? The email from CIC doesn't ask for originals. Hopefully this is now the last few steps to DM!

Unfortunately no change. It's very demoralizing to keep checking and seeing no change. It's very tough living in this limbo status. I think the universe is testing our patience levels! :)

You are more patient than us :) We sent an email today. Our MP replied very quickly then took over 3 weeks to get back to us! It's so frustrating for those of us waiting for so long. It's been 11 months for us now and we are completely in limbo. We have a 10 month old and just want to get on...

Still no news on DM for us. Our MP office finally called us back on Friday last week and said that our application was under the maximum time line and that they are now undergoing background checks. We were hoping this means it will be very soon???!

He has come for 6 months this time and they volunteered the information. Previously he came for a visit and asked and they said they can't see that information! Some news, they changed his address online today. Surely that's a good sign
