    US outland applicants' thread :)

I have a question about landing that I hope someone can answer. My husband is landing here in Ontario in a few days. He doesn't have a car, but he's driving WITH his mother and father who will be visiting for 10 days and driving the car back to the US. Will he have problems at the border? It is...

I apologize if this has been asked already, but I've been researching about landing and getting SIN number. I've read that sometimes they don't issue them using a COPR? My husband is looking to transfer in his job but he needs his SIN number right away, we can't wait 2-3 months for a PR card...

I have a question about landing. I might have asked this before, but I can't remember. I think he will get the conditional residence as we haven't been married for two years. My husband needs to do a quick landing, and than go back to finish his work and put a transfer (once he has social...

Well when we got the documents request email at the end of November, they had an email on there that I could reply to. So that is the email I used. I am not sure if I am allowed to post it on here?

I got SA end of July and I didn't see "Medical results received" until a week ago. I had just emailed them before it changed to ask if they'd received his results and they emailed back the next day saying they received them, and our application and still going through required assessment process.

So my husband emailed CIC about his medical results yesterday, because the doc request told him to complete his exam and send results. We were worried maybe they lost it as he had sent the receipt in with our application!.. They actually emailed him back this morning stating they had received...

Well he did get a receipt that he sent with application, so I'm assuming that the results were sent in? He got his medical done a few weeks before we filed. We got the standard document request asking for proof of sponsor residency, medical examination, fees and whatnot. My immigration...

I have a question about medical results. Are the results sent from the dr office directly to CIC? Or are they mailed to the applicant and then have to be sent off? My husband got his results back a month before we filed and he opened it. It didn't say anything about not opening it. we just...

My husband got the document request email last month, but we still haven't gotten a 3rd line in Ecas. No "medical receive" line. Even though we sent in with application. Is that normal to sometimes not see that? Also, does doc request mean they are getting closer to making decision? I'm just so...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

I was wondering, if my husband gets the conditional PR (we've only been married 1 year), will he be able to make a quick landing, and then return back to the USA for a month or so? He has to finish up work and he's actually putting in a transfer which takes a few weeks. Should that be ok or will...

I'm sorry if this has already been covered, but what does the Document Request mean? Is it just an email that everybody gets? It says they need more proof that I am living in Canada or intend to move here.. I would have thought that all the information I had provided would be enough? Employment...

Ive been wondering too about how the 25,000 refugees will affect our applications. Although my husband is telling me not to worry as he says this shouldn't affect it as they will probably have specific people working on those refugee applications. Who knows though. Only time will tell. At least...

I agree that it's probably an error on their part. I fully expect it to take until next Feb or March... I'm just going to continue to pray that one day soon I'll check it and see "DM". Maybe a few of us will get lucky, you never know.

I've had IP for my hubby's PR application since August 6. Says they started processing it Aug 4. They received my file May 29. Everyday I check for DM, and nothing :( I know it's way too early to expect anything, only a few months, but the "In Process" is teasing me.

He did say he was visiting for 3 weeks, but also stated that he was helping me move as I was flying in from BC. I think it was because he didn't have any proof of our marriage or our process on him. They told him to come back with me there so he wouldn't have to face that every time he visited.
