Good morning folks. I got an update email and i see that my "Background Check" changed from "Not needed at this time" to "In progress" after 3.5 months of being in that state. oh Well, some progress which I was happy to see.

My background check status changed this morning from "Not needed at this time" to "In progress"

I am a CEC inland applicant, and it is interesting to see not a single CEC inland has received PPR (from the AOR December batch - those who have tracked their status in the spreadsheet here). Hoping to see some movement in this category too. It has been a while now.

FWIW - I just called this number - 613-944-4000 and once you navigate your way to the agent after selecting the IVR options for PR application - I was able to talk to an agent and ask why the Background Check status changed from InProgress to Not Needed At this time..and whether it has any...

Thanks for the update. It is good to know that someone somewhere has seen some progress in this category.

Thanks for the pointer. Will check it out and we may have to do that in a month or two if there is no progress on this front. Would be unfortunate but self-inflicted. Just myself to blame for.
