It is always better for you to send the original medical receipts (by courier) and keep the scanned copies for your reference.

It takes anywhere between 5 days to 20 days to receive the PP from NDVO. For my case it took 12 days, including the submission date.

You can expect your PPR in a month's time. you can immediately get you passport renewed so that you get the new passport in this time before receiving PPR request.

I submitted the passports on the 14th of May and they reached vfs office on the 26th May. Pretty soon! as per my expectation.
