My understanding is that you have to call CIC and book an appointment. I called on Dec 4th and got an email last night saying that the interview is scheduled for Dec 21st. They have given me a time-slot from 830 am to 11 am (drop-in at any time during this time-slot).

I called CIC today to get an appointment for landing as we are already residing in Canada. As expected, the date is dependent on your nearest centre and how booked they are. They said they will call, email or mail me. Expected wait time is close to 2 weeks.

Thanks for the message. Did they ask for your original passport or just a photocopy? Are you from a visa-exempt country or do you need a visa to even enter Canada say if you didn't have the work visa.
