I found this thread earlier and this was mentioned:
We also spoke to an immigration officer and he said that it was a grey area as well.
Hello,
Is it legal for a non-Canadian citizen to do online work for a company that is not Canadian for clients that might not be Canadian to a bank account that is not situated in Canada? Please note they do not have a PR either.
Thank you!
I am a Canadian citizen; my partner has been in Canada for over 6 months and has a visitor visa. I already knew it didn't cover pre existing conditions, which is fine since we only needed it for emergencies.
I gave manulife a call and was able to get insurance through them without issues...

I kinda wish the medication wasn't so expensive, but I think things will be okay after they get PR, since I can just put them on my jobs medical / med coverage.
Stay hopeful!
Thank you everyone! Still may need to go out of province in order to see a specialist, as most doctors here are hesitant on prescribing hormone medication.
If the prescription is in English already, that's okay? Then, if so, they would only need to bring a 3 months supply of medication and the written prescription?.. Also, I read somewhere that foreign prescriptions are sometimes not honoured in Canada..
Hello,
My partner is coming to live in Canada as a tourist for 6 months, but it says that you can only bring a 90 day supply of medication.. They are on hormone replacement therapy and I feel it might be difficult getting refills for it without having to see an endocrinologist.. How will they...
