I think when you are married in other country you only need to register your marriage wherever you want to live in this case register in Canada, like you say getting married twice is not only illegal but it is consider a crime at least in Mexico. Good luck!

I got my ppr yay!!! So excited I think I might go to mexico city instead of sending it? Did they ask you in the letter to proof your legal status in Canada??

PPR today!! Yay! They asked me to proof my legal statutas in canada to provide my passport and to provide my full address in canada is that normal??? How long would take for them to process it if I send it by cfourier? Anybody knows??? Thaaaaanks I'm so happy!

Does anybody know how long would it take for the Embassy to send back to Canada my passport with the visa in it? I would send a pre paid air bill I'm just wondering if I should go personally or send my passport by courier. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

I havd exactly the same situation than you I did not like all the trips that I had to do just to get that lette. My causin husband picked up my letter and dropped it in the Embassy without a problem.

Hi Like bonbon for me took about 8 weeks approx. to get the letter in the mail they sent it for regular mail the important thing here is that you need the original letter to get the police certificate you can take the risk and tell your husband to go to the embassy and ask for the letter again...
