I'm done 10 months. Now time to get the passport.

My test was yesterday at 8.10. I completed the test in 5 minutes. The interview was just a validation of my documents it took 5 minutes. In all with waiting i was there for 2 hours.

Took my test at the Hamilton Office yesterday - unbelievably easy - however half the group struggled entering their name and application number on the form.

I was told Hamilton is my office but I have not been able to access ecas. So I have to trust what the CIC call centre say.

Wondering if any other July applicants still do not see anything in ECAS? According to the call centre my app is in process but I'm not holding out much hope.

I have been told by the CIC that my file has been transferred to Hamilton but I still don't have access to ECAS. Could be a much longer wait for me being on the new routine.

I am stuck, no ecas update. CIC are neglecting me!

i know 2 people in my office that got Citizenship in the last year. One had RQ the other didn't. Both took less than 6 months end to end.

Yikes that is slow, i feel my application might go the same route!!

I agree with the poster above. However recently we had a new guy start with amazing qualifications, he knew he was over qualified but was willing to take this role to get 'Canadian Experience'. he probably on the mid $60s right now but i'm sure he will leave us after a year or so and look to...

I wouldn't have thought you'd struggle to find some work. The problem always is getting your first job. I would try and get in contact with some IT recruiters to see if they would work with you for contract roles.

I have been checking this site and ECAS for so long now it is getting tedious. I got my email CIC on the 23rd of Sept and i have no update since then, it seems so many more are able to at least access ECAS. Moan, Moan MOAN!
