I called twice before today. They both told me "in process". But today my call was picked up by a lady who sounded to know better. She provided very detailed explanation and the exact date for my card sent for verification.

So I called CIC again this morning. I was told that my PR card was sent for further verification because there was some unmatched info with their system while printing the card. And it'll take extra WEEKS or MONTHS to process it!!! My guess is that they made mistakes， maybe typos or something...

You are making me so nervous. We plan to travel in Feb. May have to reschedule :( News said CIC made a lot of mistakes processing PR applications last year. Why can't they take this job more seriously!

I only asked if the "in process" they told me meant the same as the "in process" on the website. The call center agents sounded not familiar with the website status. They didn't give me a clear answer.

Hello Soso23, I don't have Ecas status change either. I landed together with my husband on Nov 22 while his status has changed to "in process". I also called CIC last week and they said my card is "in process" but not sure why online status didn't get updated.
