Hi, If you plan on returning to Canada (I am assuming you are based in CA). Make sure you have a re-entry visa. A valid work or study permit does not guarantee re-entry into the country. Otherwise, you should be fine returning with 70 days on your WP. Enjoy!

I would suggest you refill all the forms as much as possible. Its almost January, so prevent future returns. Also, If you still have the older forms, fill both the New November versions and the old ones. That way you are covered. They will pick the form that suits them.

You should NOT apply for an extension to your PGWP based on your RENEWED passport until at LEAST THREE MONTHS before your current work permit is about to expire. The same happened to me. Wait until next year to renew, you have NO problems from what you have said :)
