We finished our journey this week. 2011 RQ before test and oath this week. :)

You are pretty close to the final line. Give it 4 to 5 months for your oath. Once review is complete they will transfer your file back to your area office who will queue you for the oath.

Not true that everyone will get one. Please get your facts right before scaring people off.

File approved in St Claire and transferred back to sc. Awaiting oath. Been 2 months since test.

I had Russian visas and the officer was just fine with the dates as long as they are in Latin.

You only need to hand it over at oath and get your certificate. My wife's carad had expired and the officer took it during the interview saying that she doesn't need it as the application is approved. Checked with cic and confirmed that the pr card is not needed at oath.

Don't worry nothing will happen. They care only for the 4 years preceding your application. I left for about 2 years after applying. Did my test and the officer didn't even bother asking about whatever happened after the application. I maintained my residency requirements and had a new passport...

We got RQ'd in Jan I think, sent in March and received a month or so afterwards. They don't necessarily receive it the same time you send it. It takes few weeks to acknowledge receipt.

Not sure you'd need a lawyer, waste if time and money. I applied in July 2012,RQd in 2013 and did my test in November 2014. Had solid response to rq that was praised by officer and now waiting for oath. A matter of time for you.
