Okay I have a theory- CIC people are going undercover in forums such as these, continually urging inland applicants to withdraw in favour of the outland process. This is them trying to lessen their back log isn't it? I knew it.

So I went to the border tonight and got my visitor extension for 12 months and some good advice, all free of charge. Take that CIC call centres. :D
