Hello All. We applied in November 2015, acknowledgement end of Feb 2016. What is the next step and how long is it taking everyone to process PR application? Our work permits run out March 2017, so I really hope it is completed by then! Anyone have an idea of timeline? Thanks!

So they called our HR department asking for information on me...I thought that the LMIA is just to allow the employer to recruit for a position and then the person applying will be assessed on whether they are fit for the position once they request a work permit... why am I now being assessed...

My company applied for LMIA on the 29th of July and I am in the top 10% bracket, yet I still have heard nothing. Stressing me out. They are going through our lawyers and so we still don't even know if a file number has been allocated to our case...

No good news here...they apparently have been flooded with applications and the LMIA's guidelines are much more stringent and perhaps they do not the workforce to get through the volume of applications. Apparently my application does not have an officer assigned to it yet...13 weeks...

OK update on my case. As I said before, top 10% salary, so should be turned around within 10 days and my company applied on the 29th of July. Lawyers called, and its not been assigned to file worker yet. This is crazy
