I don't think you can check your dependents electronically. It said in the website that only the principal applicant can check the status. What I did was just give CIC a call.

Go to CBSA webpage. It has the list of CBSA offices that do the immigration. If you click one of the office, it will take you to different page that will explain its office hours.

If you click the link "complete" you will see the confirmation that you have landed at ..... and now you are a PR. No worries. You just need to wait for your card.

As what we have experienced, it took 10 days for no. 1 and 2. We can't verify the status unless send the CIC email directly. I would not suggest you to do that unless CIC has received your passports for more than 1 month.

It won't affect your processing time. Similar cases to my wife and daughters. We got my youngest one on time. However others got delayed because we have to resubmitted our photos.
