I submitted my application for work permit to VAC on July 31 and I received my passport with the stamp today (September 18). VAC is a little faster. Hope this message helps some people in here.

Glad to hear that. Hopefully you will receive your passport with the stamp this week!! So it is 2 months to get the passport stamped in your case.

That's terrible. I am considering withdraw my application as well. And Spuri, when did you submit your application to VAC? I am wondering if I can get my passport with a visa stamp back before 9/30/2014 (I submitted my application 7/30/2014 to VAC).

I submitted my application to VAC (paper application with my original passport) on July 30, 2014 and my current status from VAC is "Application Received by the Visa Office - Under Consideration". My current visa to US will expire at the end of September. Has anyone here applied in July or August...
