I'm told it's because the Islamabad office for Pakistan shut down so all apps from there go through London but if you are English or Irish, your application won't take that long.

Hi, With regards to common law sponsorship, I have noticed that the processing times for the London office (I'm from Ireland) has increased to 29 months. WOW. Is it possible for me to send it to Ottawa instead? I find the processing times are up and down like a yo yo for some countries. Thanks

Hey, When you are checking your app status online and you are typing in your client ID number, do you put the - in the middle of the 8 digits. i.e ****-**** or do you omit it? Cheers folks, Alma

Thanks for your help. Did you go the CEC route yourself? If so, how long did it take? Im hearing things like 8 months, 13 months etc. The shortest turnaround I've heard is 7 months.
