Can anybody help me on this please, is it mandatory to mention additional documents on the envelop when sending additional documents?

I see, when sending additional documents "Add label on the envelop mentioning additional docs and mention the details of ur original doc here too" I didn't mention it on envelop but added cover letter inside and mailed to CIC. Anybody else succeeded this way, or should I resend again?

But birth certificate has the correct date, and it can't be modified by municipal corporation since its part of e-governance software and locked for modifications.

You should apply for both FBI/India PCC for both of you. It is not mandatory to be sent with the application and could be sent at later stage. I am not sure about timing of india PCC, I got FBI in 1 1/2 month or so.
