Yes. If they have asked for passport, that means your visa is approved. Where did you mail your passport and when r u flying?

I guess there shouldn't be any problem though I think there might be some delay. Call VAC and inform them about this. BTW when you had applied and which VAC? Did you apply online?

Anyone here who applied for transit visa in July or mid july? Just wanted to compare timeline.

I went through this link. Since India doesn't fall under TWOV or China Transit Program I assumed I might need transit visa. I also heard one of my friend's instance where he was not allowed to board the plane to India since he didn't had Canada transit visa. In any case I will call Air Canada...

I have a US F1 visa and I am a Indian citizen. I am flying to Sweden for 2 weeks in Air Canada and returning back to US. While coming back I wont be flying through Canada. I have a layover at Frankfurt.

Oh..I think I had seen your post. Good Luck on that. I was not aware that one need a transit visa to travel through Canada. I had to apply for a transit visa for a one hour layover at Toronto and I am flying on Aug 14th. Fingers crossed.

montrealFan. When did you apply? I applied on Jul 23rd. Got a submission email on the same day. Next day I got a email saying my account has been updated but there was no update. Still it says its not started.
