It took us about an hour the whole process (Toronto Pearson airport). You can also get your SIN next to the office where you officially become a resident but opted not to because the waiting was too long. But it took us 10 minutes to apply for SIN in the city hall the next day.

You guys live in Canada right?....you are using an address in Canada and application is being processed here in Sydney. We both live here in Sydney... Could that be the reason why some are being asked for hard copies of passport and not pdf scan?

yes, I emailed the scanned copy of my passport.....that's what it says on the email - pdf scan. my visa office is Sydney..was not asked for return envelope.

My guess is - they are just waiting for the copy of my passport (thru email) and when they received it Thursday morning they printed it(COPR) and mail it the same day. we live 5 minute walk from the consulate.

Thanks so much. I had my passport request 2 weeks ago but didn't get a chance to do it til Wed night(2 nights ago) and received COPR today. Im sure yours is coming soon... :)

Hi everyone, Just a quick question. A friend of mine applied for FSW and the application was received in NScotia in January 2014. She hasn't receive any answer or communication from the CIC like UCI no or AOR. Is this normal. Thanks so much..... And what is FSW1? Cheers

Hi Mr JB, Quick question, We applied thru outland here in Sydney Australia VO. Already had our sponsorship approval. Did you ever call the Sydney Visa office regarding your application and where they very helpful in any way. Or if someone is reading this.....has anyone (Sydney applicants) call...
