Can anyone advise the difference between the PDF you get when you're approved for OWP and the original sent in the mail? Is it the same or are there extra document numbers, stamps, holographic stickers etc? thanks

I sent OWP with PR but that was back on 11th May and i still cant link. tried every option, even started a chart of the different selection choices i had done to cover all areas and still no look. I called CIC and they said they would send me an email with something else to try but that was over...

ooo i really was fobbed off then as i took in my passport, birth cert and practically every type of ID I own and wasnt given it..... >:( to be honest im more eager to get my OWP in the mail!!!!!! 22days waiting so far... I have an interview tomorrow... awkward

sounds like ive been fobbed off....

they said they AOR wont be enough as it need to give you stats like height eye colour etc becasue the AOR doesnt really give much info about yourself. IF you do manage to take your OAR in and actually come out with a licence let me know and ill try again!!!!

Not sure if it's the same for you, im in BC and couldnt get my driving licence with AOR's. Went into ICBC and they said no.

congrats!! still havent got mine in the mail yet! they posted it 25th august :( i rang them to check all ways good their end and they said the mailed it 25th aug and confirmed the address.... also rang service canada and they need original OWP to get SIN, not the PDF 'version' CIC send you...

26th august it was approved but no sign of it in the mail here in BC!!!!!

yep i paid all fees upfront, the only thing i havent done is medical. im guessing im in the streamlining as my 2nd request for police cert was asked to be sent to vegreville...? and i got approved OWP 26th Aug but not got it in the mail yet so no updates from my end im afraid.

i also got the same letter requesting police certificate but have been approved for OWP so that wont be slowing your OWP application down. i sent a letter to advise they already have my original police certificate and that i dont have a copy. the police cert arrived in Canada with a cover letter...

none of those times reflect OWP's only other types of work permits unfortunately, its 4 months!
