I got my COPR today just two days after Decision Made came up on ECAS. :). Still so shocked and so happy.
One question - I have a busy couple of weeks coming up where I'm crossing at a land border twice in a week (once to visit my sister in Vermont, once to visit my family in New Jersey). Is it...
This exact thing happened to me today, too!! Yesterday was Application Received, today was Decision Made - never PPR request or "in process". And I haven't heard from CIC since my husband was approved as a sponsor. So weird but so so so exciting!
You're completely right. We gave them a lot of proof but I still had my doubts and (unnecessarily) made my self sick worrying about it. That's what happens when you can't work for an extended period of time I guess hah.
Quick question! I just did my daily check of my application status on CIC and it says Decision Made (!!!!!!!!!). I haven't heard from the visa office since we got word of my husband being approved as a sponsor and that my application was transferred to Ottawa.
Is it super rare that it's not a...
The OP sent in his application in June 2013, so isn't he outside the wait time of 11 months? Also, if he's been waiting 13 months already, I don't believe withdrawing his application and filing an outland application would be the best idea. But this is just my opinion.
Fabien, it's such a...
Just speaking from experience...I'd wait and send in the updated forms. I got my paperwork returned to me because of this very reason. There was ONE section that was updated (and we didn't notice) and they sent it all back, delaying our process a couple months.
Yes, we applied outland. I have a job offer but it's still going to be impossible to get the job with the new $1,000 fee and the wait time.
I know neither of those two apply to me. It just all seems so backwards. I'm going to be able to work as soon as I get my permanent residence card so why...
Just wanted to make sure I understand this correctly. My husband is a Canadian citizen and we have paperwork in for him to sponsor me for permanent residence (he was already approved as a sponsor). Therefore, the only way I can work is with an LMO/LMIA?
However, if I was married to someone who...
This is just my experience.
I'm American and my husband is Canadian. I have been visiting him since August and crossing every couple months to go back home (quit my job and got rid of my apartment by then). In November they pulled us over and held us for about an hour. at this point we had sent...
Okay, so my husband received an email on 3/18 that said they received the paperwork on 2/21 and then on 3/19 we got an email saying he was approved as a sponsor. I have never received an email though as the applicant. The only reason I know my UCI number is a border officer gave me a visitor...
This might be a silly question, but how do I find out my AOR? I thought it was just the date my paperwork (the applicant) was received like this...
"We received your application for permanent residence on February 21, 2014."
but the date is the same my husband's (the sponsor) paperwork was...
Yeah, if they need a new medical I can do that no problem.
And I'm not complaining at all I'm so thankful I don't need a visa to be here. But obviously it is hard to be out of work for a year while I'm here. It's the sacrifice I made in order to be here with him instead of staying in the...
Hi all! First time posting here. My husband and I (he's Canadian, I'm American) sent out our application in February 2014. It was received 2/21/2014 and he was approved as a sponsor 3/19/2014 and my application was forwarded to CPP-O. We originally sent it out in August (but it was all sent back...
