    What a mess. So basically I would have to support her for a year, from abroad, until such time that CIC accepts that our combined income can support them? As I understood, I would not be able to go on welfare in the following 3 years, but I thought that she would be able to, if anything went wrong.

    I notice you get points for your language skills in many of the programmes but it isn't clear to me whether you get extra points for fluency in both English AND French of just one of them. I'm looking at 'Express Entry' in particular which I expect will be similar to the FSW criteria.
