Good point. My husband's passport is valid for almost 10 years. That might be taken into account.

I am in this situation. I have received a DM wihtout PRR. Well we did include a passport copy in the initial application... which is required... I'm sponsoring my husband so no maiden name changes is possible obviously. We both have very frequent border crossings (we live 1h from each other)...
