Totally agree. DD is better but credit/debit cards work as well...if all requirements are met...

I used VISA too. Internation debit card VISA, issued by Raiffeisen bank, Bulgaria. It contained the necessary debit amount, necessary payment limits that suits 1100 CAD. All was OK. CIC managed to charge the card from the first attemp. I am sorry that you had problems.

Hello, my personal experience is different. But I am just sharing information, I also think that DD is the best to way to secure yourself. I used international debit card VISA with possibility to make payments through Internet. I was charged 1 week ago without any problem.

Hello, I just saw that my credit card got charged. My application reached CIC on 07 May 2014, NOC 2171 I am not sure on what date exactly the credit card was charged, because I was on a vocation in Greece and decided not to check anything in Internet. But for sure it was during the last 4 days...
