If I have a multiple entry visa (student) can I re-enter to Canada after I have become a permanent resident and without a PR card or travel document?

Because in a year I could start issuing my citizenship as I've been living in Canada for a while now and I'm not sure what happens then if I have a 2 year conditional PR. Do I have to wait an extra year because of that?
