Random update, I decided to check eCAS for old time's sake. The sponsor application still says 'In Process" but my permanent residence application status now says 'Complete' and has a 4th line that says "XXXX entered Canada at Calgary on January 5, 2016 and became a Permanent Resident." ;D

I landed today at the Calgary CIC office in the Harry Hayes building. Interview itself took about 10 minutes, sponsor had to also be there. My copy of the COPR (IMM 5688) was validated and I used that to get my new, permanent SIN. So happy to officially be a permanent resident now!

Hi shward, I wouldn't worry too much about what eCAS says. When my husband got approved as a sponsor we got a letter in the mail but eCAS never updated it. The status of my PR application is Decision Made but sponsor application still says In Process.

No, I'm in the country on a work permit. However, the instructions for my landing appointment list Visitor Records among the necessary documents to bring that are "Temporary Resident documents issued by CIC," the other documents being Work or Student Permits.

I rec'd a docs request email today. They wanted proof of sponsor's residence in Canada, sent them copies of our most recent utility bills. I also requested case notes last week, wonder if that's just a coincidence or if it motivated them to look at my file.

Our receipt number started working for eCAS, can now view sponsor info. Sponsor app and PR app are both listed as 'In Process' as of August 10th. Still no contact from CIC, was hoping to get SA this week.
