    Funds to show visa officer for PhD

    Hi! I need to prove funds for me and my spouse too. I'm going for a PhD in B.C (I've been admitted). I read your posts but I don't understand if I have to show funds for all the duration of my PhD (8 years according to the University letter!) or for the first year only? Thanks
