I am still waiting after 14 months.

Well well. 14 months for me on Friday. When I started it was 13 months. Who is is to say as I approach 15 in doesn't increase? Not feeling hopeful:(

Mine has always been like that 'you do not need a medical exam, if this changes a message with instructions will be sent to you'. But I think its a generic status.

Ever since I linked my account my status showed 'action is required' tonight it changed to 'submitted'. I am still waiting for MR next Friday marks 14 months since submission of my application.
