You will not see any request for documents on ECAS, although it may show a line stating that medicals have been received. Some applicants (like in my case) will not get SA and AIP at the same time, I received AIP over a month later after SA. Your AIP letter will show if there are any documents...

Only the copy of the original document should be notarized (if you are not sending original document). Just make sure the translation has the ATIO seal on it.

We received AIP yesterday via email. Passport was expired so they have asked for a valid one, we will be sending that shortly. That's the only thing they have asked for so hopefully we get DM after that.

I'm in the same boat as you, We have received SA but not AIP... But in my case, we somehow forgot to add an email address for the principal applicant. So I hope they will mail it to our home address

I think you are right, I will also just pay the extra $100.00. The notice is dated February 9 2015. I just wished they had put that notice in the instructions page of OWP. I didn't see anything of the sort when I was going though it.

So I paid my fees on Feb 17th but sent my application on the 24th ... wonder if they will make me pay for the extra $100...

I think it may suggest that the initial documents are complete (no outdated forms) and file has been scanned in. But I agree with you that it doesn't mean that they have begun processing the file. I don't think CIC follows any such rules. My app was filed on April 9 2014 and Ecas shows that...

GustavesF is correct. I know someone that works there. Apparently they only do 4 month contracts and rarely hire full timers. Powerful Union makes sure the slow and lazy full timers are comfortable

So I've heard CPC-M has hired extra overnight staff to work on Inland applications ... but I think they are only working on OWP...

I just got my AOR on Jan 6th 2015. But I'm not able to login to Ecas yet.

So I finally got the AOR yesterday...... Don't understand what took so long..

When you get OWP, does it mean you are eligible for OHIP?

So I Finally got an application number today when I called in..... but still no AOR. I don't really understand why it took so long to open my file (sent in April). They had nothing for me last week... Can't login to ECAS either, but will keep trying.

I am the sponsor and I was able to get that File number by telling my details along with the receipt number. Give that a try.

No, just means that a file has been created. They are working on apps from July 2013 right now.
