    Just received word, Hubby's appointment for landing is February 16th, our oldest child's 10th birthday. Our children are all Canadian.... would it be bad if we took them along? I hate for her to not see us all day on her birthday...... the landing office is a 4 hour drive from home.

    PEI only has one doctor.... it was over $500 when all was said and done & we had to do it twice because the 1st one expired.... it sucks, but so does the whole bloody process.

    My husbands Visa expires on Feb 3rd... we are in a similar situation, but have the added expense of the PEI bridge. He has been on a 2 year visitors visa while we have waited through this never ending battle. It was recommended to me to mail in the visa renewal and then you can request a refund...

    for my husband, the medical was $205.20 taxes in, and the Xrays/blood work was $309.00 total.

    We received yesterday an email from CIC that they have finished processing our application and the Halifax office should be contacting us for an appointment. My husbands Visa expired on February 3rd. Should we apply for an extension?
