for those who got oath of citizenship, does the "Citizenship Application Status" change from in process to decision made?
in fact it should be that because explanation of decision made is "If you meet the requirements, you will be invited to a citizenship ceremony where you will take the oath of...
Another discrepancy in CIC website: roughly in May they opened a ceremony in Levis Canada day. In the first week of June they asked all the test attendees in Quebec City whether they want to have ceremony in Montreal or Quebec city. As far as I know we all asked for Montreal since they claimed...
good suggestion farrous13, I already somehow verified it in Quebec City, you check CIC website for "Regional itinerant services", Quebec had to be in service from May 26 - 30. But this has never happened. Instead the the week after CIC was here and had citizenship ceremony in fifth of June...
My feeling is that CIC open (just in the website) many ceremonies but in fact there is no ceremony.
They do so to show they are working hard and fast!!!
I did test and then interview in Quebec City third of June. At the end of interview, interviewer asked where I like to have oath (Quebec City or Montreal) I said Montreal.
So if judge approve our case, we will have citizenship ceremony in Montreal.
I did it in Quebec City third of June, but at the end of interview they asked whether we want oath schedule in Montreal or Quebec City and all that I know asked for Montreal because they said it comes sooner 2-4 months. it seems June is hectic month for judges in Montreal so we should expect...
OK. I get it, poor friend!
after checking the forum, it seems that it is less probable that judge ask for RQ but it is possible. When CIC send it to judge, it is approved by CIC, at least.
Finger crossed for oath invitatin :'(
Is it possible that you get RQ after test in which citizenship officer tell you they will send file to judge for analyse and you may get oath invitation between 2-4 months?
Do you know why officer said that we need to keep IMM5292 up to retirement time?
Thank you all for your replies. It was from RBC! the reason I did not inform CIC is that I do not know how long I'll be in US and I could be back to do test in short notice of few days.
Thanks for reply, Hopefully it is not from CIC, Actually it is a lettermail from Canada post probably with an option of registered mail. I am afraid they do not forward some mails.
