I did a stupid mistake by sending citizenship application with regular mail. I didn't receive AOR... acknowledgement of receipt. I applied over a week ago and It is sent from Burlington Ontario. Anyone can tell me how long they are taking on average to send AOR ?

I know you are asking him, but I can tell you about my application. My wife received the Visa this Friday. The whole process took about 4 months and 2 weeks from the date of submitting the application to the date my wife received the passport by courier. :)

Your wife need to show her visa when she is entering Canada, but you will need the red book if you are filling sponsorship application. you don't need to send it, but to send photocopy of it.

Anybody knows which courier the Canada Visa application center use from Ankara? When I check tracking for my application, I see that they sent me the passport back via courier but they don't say which courier?

ok, This would be referring to any name you had prior to the name you have on the Canadian passport. your marriage name is going to be future one if you decide to change it here in Canada.

I am not expert but that's what I remember from my application. you can contact CIC call center to double check or visit one of the new immigrants assistance offices in Canada

I am not sure if I understand you correctly, but I will explain what I understood and what is my answer. you have your maiden name on Canadian passport, then recently you got married in Turkey so your name on marriage certificate and Turkish national card became your ( maiden + his last name )...

Don't worry guys, it's just matter of time. I was worried too much because of the complications and requirements, but from my experience most of the time that you wait, is just the time until they start looking at it. Once they start, they do it quickly. Best luck for you all.

My wife is in Mersin Turkey. Is there anyway that she can send the passport to Ankara via courier and receive it back instead of taking the long trip to Ankara? It takes about 9 hours from Mersin via bus.

:D I got an email from Ankara asking to send passport of my wife. so I think they are working fast these days. I submitted application Dec 11,2013 and today is April 1st,2014. so about 3 months and 20 days for the whole process. This is faster than what they estimate on the website. Thanks...
