Hey everyone! I'm jealous of all the people getting their oaths! I posted a thread, but as of yet have no responses. I was wondering whether any of you guys have any advice to offer me...

The completion of my citizenship application, or the end of time - which first?

Hey there! So I applied for citizenship in October 2013, Vancouver office. Test in January 2015. At the test they gave me a request for my US travel history. I provided my online I-94 report (which I mailed to them the very day of my test) , and my FOIA travel report (which I mailed to them...

    FOIA processing time?

Anyone know how long online FOIA requests are taking these days? I requested mine on January 14.

Request for US entry/exit records. FOIA processing time?

The entries they are concerned about are within the 4 year period. Thanks for the help guys. I printed out the online I94 page and have mailed it to CIC, along with a letter saying I've applied for FOIA. Hopefully the I94 thing is enough for them and I get a speedy oath date!

Request for US entry/exit records. FOIA processing time?

So today I took the test but the interviewer handed me a request for my entries and exits to the US (not an RQ). I looked at the online I94 request website, but it doesn't show all of my entries into the US - I think this may be because I used my NEXUS card a lot of the time. So I filed a...

Test tomorrow! Tips to avoid RQ?

Hey there! I finally have my test tomorrow morning. I've compiled quite a bit of documentation to help prove my residency during the 4 year period (T4s, payslips, CBSA report, etc), which I'll bring with me to the interview. I'm wondering if I should present any of this stuff to them without...

    Opinions: Parents applying for FSW

Okay, I interpret that as saying even though an applicant may have the required points, if the applicant is suspected of being unlikely to become economically established in Canada, the application can be denied. Right? I suppose there's no way of knowing exactly how this case may be dealt with...

    Opinions: Parents applying for FSW

Thanks, CES seemed to be more of a straightforward application process so I think we'll go ahead with that while we put the rest of the application together. IELTS isn't a problem, there are frequent test dates where my parents live. Thanks for the help guys, I think we're going to give it a...

    Opinions: Parents applying for FSW

Thanks for your reply. They're from the UK and are thus visa-exempt and have visited many times without issue. If they apply for CES right now, do you think they'll reach the cap in time? Specifically for 0013? I predict they'd be able to send off their full applications by the end of October...

    Opinions: Parents applying for FSW

Hi there, My parents have been wanting to join me in Canada for some time now (I'm a permanent resident). So I had been considering sponsoring them, however since I'm a student I do not meet the income requirements to apply, or even apply for the super visa. So we've been looking into the...

I'm getting kind of frustrated to see people who've applied after me and already have test dates/oaths. I applied November 8th and haven't even received a test date yet :(

    Vancouver Applicants

Hey guys. I thought I'd save this topic from the second page, so I called CIC today. My file has been sent to the Vancouver office! It was sent the beginning of April apparently.

Just called CIC, apparently my file began background checks last week (March 11) and is still in Nova Scotia. All documents have been verified, and once the background checks are done, it'll be transferred to Vancouver. Anyone know how long they take?

My received line has disappeared. Must have been within the last few days. Tempted to call CIC too, but sounds too good to be true that our files are being transferred this early on.

Change of address (within city) delay application?

Hey guys, I'm thinking about moving and I was wondering if it would delay my citizenship application. I would just be moving from one part of the city to another, so the local office (Vancouver) would stay the same. Any help would be great, thanks!
