u can not submit IMM5257 scanned. u have to validate it and save then upload the one with bar codes. when u submit all the documents u will b asked to just type ur name. IMM5257 is used to generate the applicants name . scanned copy can mess this up in online submission.

its not just related to msgs in the inbox. like in my case i received email on my status update that my "biometrics have been received". no msg in the inbox so be sure to scan the page for changes :)
