our friends had test in May and they got invitation for citizenship ceremony this Thursday.

I have just called CIC and asked about status of the file. They told me that time from test to receiving letter for citizenship ceremony is 6 months now (:

test (verification of documents for >55 yesrs) was 3 months ago and no invitation to citizenship ceremony. I will call CIC in 2 weeks.

congratulations casperr! Have you received mail (hard copy)? Is on-line status updated?

casperr, mine was also in mid April and no letter for the ceremony.... They told 3 months +/- two weeks so technicaly it is too early to worry.

they added ceremony on June 17 as well - we are getting closer :)

very strange. CIC website does not show ceremony on June 5. May 27 June 2 June 3 July 1 can they list on all ceremoies? Let's say open to public only?

Hi, officer told that waiting time after the test is 3 months give or take 2 weeks.

there is no test for people over 55 years old. They will check documents and that should be it :)

Hi, got Notice to appeal today. no update on the website yet. Timeline is 1. We received your application on April 17, 2012. 2. We sent you a letter on April 20, 2012. 3. We started processing your application on March 4, 2013 4. Notice to appel March 14, 2014. Appeal in April 2014.

Hi Canuto, have you talked to your Member of Parliament? They may not know about the problem. The more people complain the sooner they will take actions.

How many judges does Calgary have? 9? 1 ceremony in Edmonton vs. 9 ceremonies in Calgary. In December Calgary more ceremonies as well. It should be the other way around because Edmonton was missing judge for 1 year…
